He has performed more than 200.000 CT and MRIs.
He is interested in Prostate MRI, Brain MR Spectroscopy and Coronary CTA.
He was among the first radiologists who introduced many advanced CT and MRI examinations in Greece.
He graduated from the Medical School of Athens University in 1986.

Ioannis (Yannis) Andreou Adjunct Assistant Professor of radiology, University of Athens Medical School.
He serves as the Chairman of the imaging departments at the “Hygeia” and “Mitera” hospitals since 1986.
He worked as the director of the CT scan department of “Agios Savvas Cancer hospital of Athens” and the imaging departments of “Agios Panteleimon” and “Kyanous Stavros” private clinics.
He also served as a lecturer at “Aretaieio University hospital of Athens” and thereafter as an assistant professor in the department of radiology of the medical school of the University of Athens.
He studied at the medical school of Athens and specialized in radiology in the hospitals of “Red Cross public hospital” and “Alexandra’s University hospital”.
He is an MD and Assistant professor of the medical school of the University of Athens.
Furthermore he subspecialized as a postgraduate medical student in the department of CT scan at the “New York University Medical Centre” (NYUMC) in New York (1980-1983) and in the department of MRI at the med
ical school of the “University of California San Francisco” (UCSF) in San Francisco USA in 1988.
During the course of his career he introduced and implemented many of the newer imaging methods and technics in this country.
Among these, were many CT and MRI advanced tests, positron emission tomography (PET-CT), many newer interventional methods under the guidance of CT and MRI etc. He has demonstrated an outstanding academic, educational and literary work.
In particular he has taught students, qualified doctors and postgraduates for many years. He regularly attends conferences and takes part in many scientific events both in Greece and abroad.
He has served as president of conferences, he has participated in many oval tables, presented papers orally and has given lectures as an invited speaker.
He has also taken part in many academic bodies and committees.
He has edited several publications of medical literary works, from Greek as well as foreign publishing houses and he has also taken part in the writing of many original works and papers in Greek and foreign medical journals.

2017: On December 7, 2017, I was promoted to the rank of Director, in accordance with decision Γ4α/ΓΠ75293/7-12-2017 of the Ministry of Health.
On January 1, 2017, in application of Law 4472/2017 (Government Gazette 74/A/19-05-2017), I was classified at the rank of Consultant A (Epimelitis A).
2012: On December 7, 2012, I was transferred to the General Oncological Hospital of Kifisia "OI AGIOI ANARGYROI," where I remained until November 2021.
2011: According to Ministerial Decision Υ10α/οικ./139431/13-12-2011 and Law 4024/2011, I was evaluated and classified based on years of service to the rank of Consultant A (Epimelitis A).
During this year, I was appointed Scientific Director of the MRI Department of the 7th Hospital, a position registered with the "Demokritos" National Centre for Scientific Research.
August 1, 2000 – Present: Working in the MRI Department as a permanent Radiologist. Since October 8, 2002, I have held a Full and Exclusive Employment (P.A.A.) relationship with the National Health System (ESY).
May 20, 1997 – July 30, 2000: Head of the CT Department at the 7th Hospital, following the assignment of responsibility for this department by the Director of the Radiology Laboratory.
May 20, 1997: Acquired the medical specialty title of "Diagnostic Radiology".
March 24, 1996 – May 19, 1997: Having completed the practical portion of the specialty, I provided my services to the Radiology Laboratory (Conventional Radiology and Ultrasound Departments).

October 22, 1992 – March 23, 1996: Continuation and completion of the "Diagnostic Radiology" residency at the University of Athens "ARETAIEIO" Hospital, serving as both a trainee and a trainer for 4th-year students of the Athens Medical School. Maria Mylona
MD, PhD
Maria Mylonas graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 1998.
She specialized in Diagnostic Radiology at the Peripheral General Hospital of Patras "Ag. Andreas" and the University General Hospital of Patras from 1998 to 2004.
Since 2004, she has been serving as the scientific director at the Radiology Laboratory of the Olympion General Clinic in Patras, covering the full range of examinations in the CT and MRI departments. She is responsible for diagnostics in CT coronary angiography, CT angiography for pre-TAVI evaluations, and multiparametric MRI of the prostate.
In 2008, she completed her Ph.D. thesis on the "Evaluation of the Degree of Osteopenia and Osteoporosis in Homozygous Beta-Thalassemia Patients. Comparison and Correlation of Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) Results with Quantitative Computed Tomography (QCT)" at the University of Patras.
In February 2016 (February 8–26), she participated as an observer in the Department of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital of Vienna, where she analyzed and processed 250 Cardiac CT and 50 Cardiac MR cases.
She has presented her work at both international and national conferences. As part of her commitment to continuous medical education, she regularly attends targeted seminars and international conferences.
Since July 2024, she has been collaborating with Cloud Radiology Greece, providing remote radiological diagnostic services to diagnostic centers across the country.
